The Climate Action Reserve is introducing a new modular protocol structure to improve the efficiency of protocol development, streamline revisions and updates, and facilitate the expansion of protocols to additional jurisdictions. This approach separates protocols into a Common Protocol covering common requirements applicable across jurisdictions, and Jurisdictional Modules that address location-specific conditions, with additional Technical Guidance Modules where needed.
